AI smart glasses arriving by 2027, Vision Air by 2029
Apple According to new reports claims, several wearable devices are coming soon, but two of them are already expected to be delayed.
Specifically, it has been claimed that the tech world will not see Apple join competitors by releasing AI-powered smart glasses this year as it could arrive until 2027, while the company’s Vision Air is set to be released in 2029.
Apple AI smart glasses pushed to 2027
as per latest Power On Newsletter By Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is adjusting the timeline for its upcoming wearable technologies, and it starts with the company’s upcoming AI smart glasses.
Previous reports have claimed that Apple is already preparing to debut its first smart glasses that will be powered by AI. Reportedly this will not happen now.
The initial timeline that Apple reportedly planned was to introduce AI smart glasses by the end of 2026 and the device would be introduced in the market in early 2027, with a lag of a few weeks or months after its launch.
However, now, Gurman said that Apple may be working towards a release date scheduled for late 2027 for the public introduction of AI smart glasses.
Apple’s smart glasses are a top priority
These are AI smart glasses codenamed “N50”, which have been the subject of rumors and speculation in the past, especially after Apple’s soon-to-retire CEO Tim Cook previously said that it is Growth is the company’s top priority.

Apple Vision Air is coming by 2029
On the other hand, Gurman also mentioned that the new version of the Vision Pro which is coming in the form of a slimmer, lighter and more portable device, the so-called Vision Air, has also been pushed back to late 2028 or 2029.
Gurman said that Apple is working on this lighter form factor for the Vision Pro headset. At first, the company has delayed its development to accommodate its new focus on smart glasses.
