Fashion trends will blossom in spring fundraising
JOHNSTOWN, PA – The latest fashion trends will be in full bloom at this fundraising event.
The 30th Annual Springtime Serenade Fashion Show, presented by the Johnstown Auxiliary of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, begins at 5 p.m. May 5 at Sunnahanna Country Club, 1000 Sunnahanna Drive, Westmont.
“By participating, you are helping to keep music and cultural enrichment alive in the Johnstown area, and this helps ensure that our Johnstown Symphony Orchestra will continue to perform throughout the year,” said Mary Borko, co-chair of the fashion show. “The funds allow all of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra’s programs to be accessible to the community.”
The fundraiser will begin with a complimentary cocktail, followed by dinner at 6 p.m. that will include a menu of mixed green and strawberry salad with poppy seed dressing, roast turkey and stuffing, cranberry relish, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli and tuxedo torte.
There will also be raffles, door and table prizes.
Fashion show will start at 7 pm
Models Emily Ference, Sean Eyler, Will Polasek, Jay Blehash, Julia Bauer-Laslow, Anna Brazil, Avery Gonchar, Riley Hoover, Andy Palmer, Ivana Panebianco, Kendall Roman, Erin Cody, James Blatchley, Eileen Graham, Teresa Marafino, Kamal Gela, Arnie McFarland, Kelly Gonchar, Toby Gunby, Marcia Jones will serve as a model. Kerry Mueller, Corinne Fetsko, Lisa LaBarco, Tina Mirilovich, Katrina Perkowski, Jason Chavis, Bill Locher, and Nick Spinelli.
“There will be casual, business day wear and formal wear,” Borko said. “People will see the latest 2026 fashions that are coming out. There’s something for everyone.”
Stores providing fashion for the show include Boscov’s, Feathered Lane, Gold Rush Diamonds & Boutique, Miller’s Clothing Store, The Pro Shop at Sunnahanna Country Club and The Bridal Suite of Johnstown.
“They will bring top-class fashion from around the world,” Borko said. “They are beautiful fashion, and there will be many exciting moments at the show. It’s a great opportunity to gather with friends and enjoy the fashion coming to our area.”
Additionally, Boscov’s will do the models’ makeup.
Borko said the fashion show typically attracts about 200 people, and organizers hope to hold another full show this year.
“We always have sellout crowds, and seats are on a first-come, first-served basis,” Borko said. “People look forward to it every year because it’s a wonderful evening. It’s a chance to sit back and look at all the fashion.”
Proceeds will benefit JSO Programming.
Borko said, “This is the Symphony Auxiliary’s largest fundraiser of the year, and it’s an opportunity to support the symphony’s effort.”
Cost is $65 per person, and seating is limited. Valet parking will be available.
